Job ResponsibilitiesIn order to build an active pool of qualified part-time instructors, the School of Business is accepting applicants to teach in all areas - Administrative Office Technology, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, General Business, Graphic Design, Management and Marketing. Instructors maintain a high level of excellence in teaching by communicating and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses within the program area. They prepare materials needed for course instruction, keep student records, adhere to course schedules, use learning management system for communication, grading and attendance, collects student learning outcomes, submits grades, reports, and records in a timely manner, remains current in field.Opportunities are on the Airport, Beltline and Lexington North Lake campuses, day and evening, in person teaching. Minimum And Additional RequirementsMaster of Business Administration or Master's degree in business-related area with 18 or more graduate-level credit hours in teaching discipline, and two years of relevant work experience. Copies of unofficial transcripts must be submitted with application in order to be considered. Experience with teaching or training.Preferred QualificationsProfessional industry credentials.Demonstrated excellence in teaching, in a community college settingExperience working with students from diverse academic backgroundsCompensationAdditional CommentsAdjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College’s established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,800 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
