Job Description

Position Summary JOB DESCRIPTION Under the general direction of the Assistant Manager, Human Resources, this position is responsible for providing support for Human Resources activities. The Administrator, Human Resources will utilize their strong administrative support skills in preparing team member memos and communications, presentation materials, preparing reports, distributing and maintaining other communications, coordinating programs and other team activities as needed. The Administrator, Human Resources will be responsible for maintaining the compliance related expiry dates for team members and will have a strong focus on data entry for policies, compliance training report, etc.Key AccountabilitiesMonitors site and team member inquiries, ensures that they are forwarded to the appropriate Human Resources team members and follows up to ensure that responses are provided in a timely mannerAssists with the coordination of new hire team member onboarding.Audits various team member reports on a weekly basis to ensure compliance with policy & proceduresProvides administrative support, including but not limited to photocopying, faxing, preparing files, directing incoming calls, and directing incoming mailPerforms data entry related to Human Resources in record-keeping systemsDrafts team members' announcements, such as newsletters and other communications for review and distribution upon approvalSupporting payroll with reports required for payrun on a biweekly basis.Updates and maintains site engagement boards, including health and safety boardsArranges couriers for Payroll, Human Resources, and Operations, as neededPurchases department-specific office supplies, arranges meetings, coordinates meeting room setupParticipates in health and safety initiatives, including arranging and attending the JHSC meetings on a monthly basis, and ensuring the completion of monthly inspections.Supports Rewards and Recognition at the site levelMaintains employee records and arranges for document storage and retrieval as neededCommunicates effectively with all departmentsBuilds strong working relationships with team members and guestsComplies with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulationPerforms other duties as assigned or directedEducation And Qualifications1-2 years of experience in a busy office environmentPrevious Human Resources support experience an assetDegree or Diploma in Human Resources an assetExperience using a HRIS, an assetAbility to exceed internal and external guest expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communicationProficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to multi-task and prioritizeStrong communication & organizational skillsFlexible with good attention to detailFast learner, interested in continuous process improvementAble to work independently and as part of a diverse teamAbility to maintain confidential informationThe ability to successfully obtain a criminal record check through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) About Us Who we are!
