Our ProfileIn 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.To Ensure The Achievement Of This Large-scale Project, G Mining Ventures Is Looking For An Experienced And Motivated Individual To Fill The Position OfAdministrative AssistantWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at our mine site location. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the site management team and ensuring efficient office operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the site management team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements for site personnel. Document Management: Maintain and organize site-related documentation, including safety reports, compliance records, personnel files, and other critical mine site documents. Ensure documents are updated, filed, and archived properly.Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for site-related inquiries, liaising with site personnel, contractors, and management. Handle phone calls, emails, and other communication in a professional and timely manner. Inventory and Supplies: Track and manage office supplies, equipment, and materials, ensuring that inventory levels are adequate, and requests are processed efficiently. Reporting: Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as required by management. Maintain spreadsheets and databases to track site operations, personnel, and other relevant information. General Office Duties: Perform general office duties such as filing, and document preparation.Qualifications/Skills And ExperienceMinimum a Diploma or relevant certifications in administration preferred.At least 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.AdditionalStrong organizational and multitasking skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and record-keepingWorking ConditionsPosition based at the OKO Project site. Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days OffTransport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.Compensation Package1-year contract for the construction period, with the possibility of a permanent position once the mine is in operation.Competitive SalaryCompetitive benefits, bonus and group insurances.
