Job Description Prepare correspondence to victims, witnesses and police officers to provide notification of upcoming court events Answer incoming phone calls in response to office correspondence in order to obtain the most up to date information for victims and witnesses Screen phone calls to determine if victim or witness needs to speak with Victim Witness Coordinator Maintain a presence in Victim Witness room in order to check in victims and witness, validate parking, answer any questions and communicate with Victim Witness coordinators Arrange transportation for court appearances Maintain accurate notes in case management system Process and sort any returned mail to the Victim Witness Coordinators Check any upcoming cases for Crime Victim Notification forms to determine if Victim Witness Coordinators should notify Victims of hearings Any other duties that fall within the Victim Witness DivisionQualifications: Applicants must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants should possess the ability to work in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate should be able to interact professionally with attorneys, victims, and witnesses, have the ability to multitask, have exceptional organizational skills, possess a positive attitude, be able to work independently, and demonstrate enthusiasm to learn new ideas and concepts. Selected candidates will be subject to drug and alcohol testing and a criminal background check before starting employment.Salary: $42,401 - $50,154This is a full-time position. This position is a local government public service position which may qualify for Federal Student Aid Public Service Loan Forgiveness.Comprehensive benefits package: full range of health insurance provider options, vision insurance, dental insurance, deferred compensation option, life insurance, 10+ paid holidays per year, vacation leave, sick leave, and personal leave. Newly hired candidates are automatically enrolled in the City of Baltimore Employee Retirement Pension System.
