The employee performs a variety of technical and administrative tasks related to the specialized handling of materials, documentation, and inventory control.Primary responsibilities include processing invoices, managing shipping and receiving operations, stocking and disbursing materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records. The employee utilizes enterprise systems such as SAP, BSIP, and ARIBA to document transactions, packing slips, receipts, and shipping records.Additional Duties Include Inspecting incoming materials for quality and accuracy Organizing and maintaining stock levels within the warehouse Conducting routine and special inventory audits Preparing materials for distribution to operation and maintenance teams Data entry for tracking purchasing and inventory transactions Maintaining and establishing effective relationships with vendors and division personnel Attaining certification for maneuvering material handling equipment, such as forklift Contributing to a safe workplace and environmentThis position also requires occasional travel to other Ferry Maintenance Facilities to support parts delivery, inventory reconciliation, and logistical coordination.Knowledge Skills And Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Grade and Salary Range: NC02 - $31,200 - $ 49,340Management Prefers Applicants With The FollowingKnowledge of office procedures, methods, and practices. Demonstrated ability to apply a variety of work-related formulas or mathematical calculations.Knowledge of SAP/BSIP software program and Microsoft Office.Demonstrated ability to record, compile, summarize and perform basic analysis of data.Ability to obtain operator’s certification as a forklift operator for material handling.Minimum Education And ExperienceSome state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
