Arc Broward is looking for an enthusiastic Admission and Retention Specialist to help individuals take their first step toward brighter futures — and ensure they stay the course!About Us: Arc Broward is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of people with developmental disabilities.Why Work at Arc Broward?We put the CARE in CAREER!We are a leader in developmental disabilities services.We offer a mission-driven, supportive, and innovative work environment.We value our team members and foster a people-first culture.We provide top-notch training through our Arc Educates program.We prioritize professional growth, recognition, and appreciation events.About the role: Admissions & Retention SpecialistCreate awareness of Arc Broward's Workforce Services programs, including Arc Educates and Arc Works, to external community stakeholders.Manage recruitment activities for potential students/participants by identifying and attending community outreach events and school resource fairs, as well as by facilitating presentations, cold-calling, and utilizing social media to share information and engage with prospective students/participants and their families.Collaborate with external entities such as schools, non-profits, Vocational Rehabilitation, social service agencies, advocacy groups, parent groups, and others to provide information about Arc Broward’s Workforce Services programs.Serve as the key ambassador to obtain referrals for Workforce Services’ post-secondary vocational certificate programs and employment services programs to meet and exceed established enrollment quota.Engage young adults aging out of high school, and older, to help guide them towards their employment goals. Lead tours of the Hospitality program at Chateau Mar for prospective students and their families, facilitate intake meetings, and guide applicants through the application and admission progress for the program.Conduct direct outreach (emails, phone calls, follow-ups) to prospective students/participants and follow-up with pipeline for upcoming program starts.Oversee student recruitment funnel by working with individuals with disabilities from initial campus tours, intake meetings, and application process; and enrolled students by providing student/participant support services throughout the individual’s involvement with Workforce Services to enhance program retention and completion.Generate weekly and monthly activity reports focused on outreach efforts and progress toward recruitment and enrollment benchmarks. Minimum of one year of directly related experience (recruitment, admissions, enrollment services, sales, cold-calling, education, or social services). Flexibility to work some nights and weekend events is required.Experience working with adults with disabilities and or other life challenges is preferred.Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.A high level of customer service, patience, creativity, and an ability to assist people with a variety of challenges are essential to this position.Ability to use social media to post recruitment information on relevant community groups and engage with individuals seeking relevant information.Must pass a pre-employment Level 2 criminal background check and drug screen.Must have a valid Florida driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
