To meet new global challenges, we are seeking a Platform Engineer to strengthen the infrastructure that powers our secure, scalable, and high-impact software solutions, and to contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.Infrastructure & System Integration (I&SI) is part of Terma’s Software Acceleration department, forming the foundation on which all of R&D builds to ensure stable, efficient, and secure software delivery. The team not only supports internal R&D activities but also delivers, configures, and validates the system environments used in our customer projects worldwide.Your role in our teamAs a Platform Engineer in I&SI, you will play a central role in ensuring that Terma’s integration, test, and delivery platforms operate reliably and efficiently. You will work in the intersection of hardware, software, and infrastructure, where you will contribute to both internal development and external customer deliveries. Your work will enable development teams to integrate and test complex systems while ensuring that customer environments are built, configured, and verified to the highest standards.How you will make a meaningful contributionYour goal is to ensure that our integration, test, and delivery environments run smoothly, enabling efficient development and reliable deliveries across Terma’s projects.Your key responsibilities include:Develop, automate, and maintain build, integration, and test infrastructure for both R&D and customer projectsDesign, implement, and operate virtual and physical environments supporting integration, verification, and validationPrepare, configure, and deliver reference and customer systems for operational useAutomate deployment, configuration, and test processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC)Collaborate closely with project teams to integrate software and hardware components into mission-ready solutionsMonitor and maintain system performance and availability across environments and locationsProduce and maintain technical documentation for delivered configurations and environmentsContribute to planning, reviews, and retrospectives, sharing knowledge and best practices across R&D and customer projectsBring your world class expertise into playYou are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. You may come from a software or infrastructure background, however – what matters most is your passion for building robust, automated, and scalable systems. You will apply your expertise in IT infrastructure, DevOps, or system integration to ensure our environment is reliable, secure, and efficient. Terma’s infrastructure is entirely on-premises, so experience with self-managed environments is a strong advantage. Moreover, we are looking for a new colleague who possesses:Strong Linux experience, including shell scripting or Python automationProven experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-VFamiliarity with networking fundamentals (routing, firewalls, VLANs) and system provisioningExperience evaluating and mitigating security risks in Infrastructure as Code implementationsAdditionally, the following qualifications are preferred but not required:Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and artifact management (e.g., Nexus)Experience with Gerrit, SonarQube, or similar code review and analysis toolsFamiliarity with containerisation and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)Experience managing mixed environments (Linux/Windows) and PowerShell scriptingKnowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix)Exposure to hardware integration, firmware updates, or test automation frameworksPrevious work in regulated or high-security environmentsAs a person, you are open-minded and curious, with a structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
