The position is based in Kuala Lumpur, and you will be working very closely with our global process engineering team and manufacturing sites’ teams.What You Will DoIf successful, your key deliverables will include:Providing active technical leadership, assisting organization in goal setting, sharing technical and organizational knowledgeProcess modeling sustainment and deployment supportMentoring and training less experienced engineersProviding reforming process engineering and technical support to ExxonMobil and third party licensee manufacturing sitesProviding capital projects with reforming and/or hydroprocessing process engineering and technical support to meet business needs and efficient use of capitalLeading or supporting troubleshooting or improvement opportunities and value captureWorking collaboratively with vendors and suppliers to ensure appropriate designing, manufacturing, testing and delivery of equipmentSupporting successful installation, commissioning, and operationalizing of grassroots or revamped facilities, and unit turnaroundsAbout YouSkills and QualificationsTo be eligible for this role, you must have:A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical EngineeringMinimum 8 years of work experience in oil and gas, petrochemical or refining industryMinimum 3 years of work specialization in reforming technologyTechnical site or unit experience including monitoring, troubleshooting, asset support, projects and turnaroundsProcess and equipment design experience including use of process simulation packagesAble to demonstrate the following:Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skillsKnowledgeable in reaction kineticsStrong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, especially in multi-cultural global teamStrategic thinking and able to develop creative fit for purpose solutions to resolve operational problemsAbility to influence and promote change to achieve desired results with no or minimal direct authorityWillingness to travel internationally as needed for business reasons.
