Join Our Team as an Agriculture Extension Officer!Are you passionate about agriculture and committed to supporting farming communities?We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Agriculture Extension Officer to strengthen our agricultural field operations. The selected candidate will work closely with farmers, agricultural communities, and internal teams to promote modern, sustainable, and productive agricultural practices.This position requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to deliver practical, field-based guidance and help bridge the gap between management and the farming community.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agricultural officers, and local communities.Guide farmers on Gliricidia cultivation techniques — including land preparation, planting, irrigation, pruning, and harvesting.Conduct regular field visits to monitor crop growth, identify challenges, and provide on-site solutions.Offer technical advice on soil fertility management, pest and disease control, and sustainable farming practices.Organize and conduct training sessions, workshops, and field demonstrations to improve farmer knowledge.Support farmers in crop diversification and integrating other productive crops once Gliricidia cultivation is established.Collect, analyze, and report field data (yield, soil quality, pest trends) to support project planning and decision-making.Prepare and submit regular progress reports to management.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field.1–3 years of experience in agricultural extension, field coordination, or rural development (fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply).Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong technical knowledge of modern agricultural methods and environmental sustainability.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with farming communities.Analytical and detail-oriented mindset for field data collection and evaluation.Ability to work independently and manage multiple field tasks efficiently.Proficiency in MS Office or Google Sheets for report preparation.Willingness to travel extensively for field visits and farmer support.What We OfferA supportive and collaborative working environment.Opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.Competitive compensation with statutory benefits (EPF/ETF, allowances, etc.).Exposure to large-scale agricultural and community development projects.How to applyInterested candidates are invited to send their CV to hr@zonez.lk with the subject line “Agriculture Extension Officer Application”.For more information, contact +94 78 886 6566.#Hiring #AgricultureJobs #ExtensionOfficer #FieldDevelopment #SustainableFarming #ZonezLanka #CareerOpportunity
