Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Agronomist based in Orkney. The Agronomist will be responsible for providing expert guidance on soil health, plant nutrition, and irrigation efficiency to support agricultural operations. Key responsibilities include conducting research, developing and implementing sustainable agricultural practices, and ensuring that client projects meet their desired outcomes. The role requires close collaboration with clients and other experts to recommend and execute effective solutions for water management and crop productivity. Qualifications Strong knowledge of Soil Science and Agriculture practices.Experience with Irrigation systems and assessing their efficiency.Competence in Plant Nutrition and understanding the nutrient needs of crops.Ability to perform Research to drive data-backed recommendations and solutions.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Familiarity with water management practices and sustainable agriculture
