As AI becomes a key enabler across the Industrial Technique Business Area, we are looking for an AI Architect to help shape, challenge, and guide our technology landscape.This is a technical leadership role — not focused on business development, but on making AI work securely, efficiently, and effectively across our organization.Your RoleYou will collaborate closely with our AI business managers, divisional and group AI teams, and IT experts to ensure we make the right technology choices, implement secure scalable solutions, and leverage the full potential of the tools and capabilities we already have.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a technical enabler – provide architecture guidance and technical insight to ensure successful and sustainable AI implementations across divisions.Define standards and policies where applicableSupport AI business managers with technology choices, vendor assessments, and strategic recommendations.Challenge and review AI solution designs proposed by consultants or partners; identify opportunities for in-house development and re-use were beneficial.Ensure security, compliance, and robustness of all AI solutions in alignment with Atlas Copco’s standards and policies.Boost AI awareness – promote knowledge sharing, re-use of existing solutions, and best practices across the organization.Stay on top of industry developments – continuously follow AI technology trends and assess their relevance and potential for Industrial Technique applications.Translate technology into business understanding – communicate effectively with senior management, making complex AI topics clear, relevant, and actionable.Collaborate across teams – contribute to: Divisional AI overview meetings (sharing best practices) The Group AI alignment meeting The Industrial Technique AI council (which you will help establish and lead)We are an industrial manufacturing company dedicated to enabling smart factories through advanced solutions in tightening, riveting, dispensing, and quality assurance processes, among others. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders — including Operations, R&D, Logistics, HR, and Finance — across all six divisions of our Industrial Technique business area. Our teams are spread across more than 15 global locations and serve customers in over 180 countries worldwide.Location: Preferably Stockholm, Sweden. Other possible location is Frankfurt area in Germany.We have a hybrid workplace. You are welcome to contact hiring manager for more information.What We Expect From YouStrong background in AI architecture and cloud technologies.A good theoretical understanding of what AI, GenAI, ML etc are, as well as the typical process these projects go through.And also a decent understanding of data related concepts like data modelling, data products, and security-by-design principles as underlying principles.Equally important to technical knowledge is a basic understanding of some of the processes in an industrial company, as it will help you in identifying potential quick wins.Experience reviewing and challenging technical designs from external partners or consultants.Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear insights and strategies for non-technical stakeholders and senior management.Experience following and evaluating emerging AI technologies and trends to guide future directions.Excellent collaboration and communication skills across organizational levels.Passion for innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.What We OfferAt Atlas Copco, we have a friendly atmosphere and a culture known for respectful interaction and ethical behavior.
