AI Developer - Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled AI Developer with 5+ years of experience to design, development, and deployment of AI/NLP systems across our different products. You will work on solving advanced challenges in talent profile intelligence & enrichment, semantic search & relevance ranking, automated role-based technical & behavioral assessments, spoken language proficiency evaluation, backlink automation, and generative AI-powered workflows.Key Responsibilities:Design & implement AI/NLP models for:Backlink opportunity discovery (topic/content matching, site relevance, anchor text suggestions)Resume and CV parsing (entity extraction, skill matching)Semantic search, embedding-based matching across both content and candidate use casesAutomated role-based assessments: coding, MCQ, and behavioral. Human behavior & sentiment communication analysis for technical interviewsSpoken language proficiency evaluation & communication analysisDevelop Python-based data pipelines to preprocess, train, validate, and serve modelsIntegrate models with search & indexing systems (like OpenSearch / Elasticsearch) for fast retrieval, ranking, and filteringBuild & maintain REST APIs / microservices to expose functionality: resume extraction, link opportunity search, candidate matching etcWork with backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django) to support scalable AI deploymentsManage and optimize databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or other NoSQL/graph DBs)Optimize large-scale queries, indexing, and similarity searchOptimize large-scale queries, indexing, similarity search and performance across both platformsCollaborate with product / engineering teams to ensure AI solutions align with business goals, user workflows, and quality metricsResearch and apply modern NLP and AI techniques such as Transformers, embeddings, topic modeling, LLMs, and unsupervised/semi-supervised learningRequired Qualifications:Proficiency in Python and ML / NLP libraries: pandas, scikit-learn, spaCy, HuggingFace / transformersExperience with OpenSearch / Elasticsearch (or similar) for search, ranking, indexingExperience in content analysis / web content scraping / topic matching / SEO metrics (site relevance, domain authority etc)Experience with resume/CV parsing or information extractionSolid understanding of embeddings, semantic similarity, named entity recognition, topic modelingExperience building REST APIs / microservicesContainerization and deployment experience (Docker etc)Strong analytical, performance-oriented, problem solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with LLMs (GPT, BERT etc.), and ability to adapt them for domain-specific tasksStrong backend development skills in FastAPI, Flask, or DjangoExperience with databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB (NoSQL), or graph DBsCloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for scalable training/inferencePrior experience in link building , content matchingExperience in recruitment tech, HR analytics, candidate matching or job-market platformsExperience in unsupervised learning / topic modeling / large scale content pipelinesAbout 1840 & Company1840 & Company is a global leader in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and remote talent solutions, dedicated to propelling businesses forward through our comprehensive suite of services.
