AI Product Specialist

Trimble is searching for an experienced and highly motivated AI Product Specialist to spearhead the application of AI/ML in developing innovative solutions. This role is key to solving complex customer problems, maximizing their productivity, and driving Trimble's business growth.With the rapid pace of AI development, Trimble swiftly adopts these technologies in its core products and workflows, and with this increased focus on AI, we're looking for a passionate and skilled AI Product Specialist to join our team, which is dedicated to creating innovative software solutions for the construction industry.Role ResponsibilitiesProduct Oriented:Understands how AI can solve real customer problems, strongly collaborating with the construction domain stakeholdersCollaborate with product managers, engineers, and industry experts to identify opportunities for AI integration in our software.Balances AI functionality with UX, trust, and explainability concernsTechnically OrientedClean and prepare large, complex datasets for analysis and model training.Understands large language models, prompt engineering, and/or fine-tuningEvaluate and refine model performance, risks, and implementation effortStay current with the latest AI research, tools, and best practices, and apply new techniques to our products. Understands deployment and monitoring requirements for AI in productionCross-Team Collaboration And CommunicationBuild and maintain relationships with other AI groups and initiatives in TrimblePresent findings and project outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Shares best practices, frameworks, and components deeper into teamsAdvocates for responsible and scalable AI adoption across teamsSensitivity To Risk & Business ImpactCan flag where AI-driven features might backfire (e.g., legal, trust, data privacy).QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.Proven experience in developing and deploying AI and machine learning models in a professional setting.Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and machine learning principles.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.About The BIM & Engineering AI TeamThe BIM & Engineering AI Team is a new team. This leadership role will significantly influence Trimble’s AI initiatives, working closely with Johan Schlingmann, senior director of Product.
