AI & Software Equity Analyst (U.S. SaaS / AI Applications)

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct deep-dive fundamental research on U.S. SaaS and AI application companies, including customer adoption trends, AI monetization models, product differentiation, pricing power, and TAM expansion.Build and maintain detailed financial models, scenario analyses, and AI-driven adoption forecasts.Perform comprehensive competitive landscape analysis across key AI verticals (e.g., GenAI productivity tools, AI copilots, vertical SaaS with AI enhancements, AI cybersecurity, AI-enabled automation).Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, financial AI copilots, data scraping automation) to enhance workflow efficiency, data extraction, and idea generation.Develop differentiated investment theses and track key inflection points with a long-term, value-oriented view.Produce high-quality research reports, investment memos, and real-time updates for internal committees.Engage with industry experts, product managers, engineers, and company management teams to validate insights and proprietary views.Work closely with PMs and traders to support portfolio construction and risk management decisions.Required Qualifications2–8 years of equity research or investment experience covering U.S. SaaS / software / AI companies, preferably at a hedge fund, long-only asset manager, or top-tier sell-side institution.Demonstrable ability to produce deep, differentiated, and insight-driven research, not just surface-level coverage.Strong understanding of AI business models, LLM integration strategies, AI-driven unit economics, and SaaS KPIs (e.g., NRR, churn, CAC/LTV, ARR growth).Proven experience building and maintaining complex DCF / cohort-based models and performing sensitivity analyses.Fluency in AI tools (e.g., AI copilots for code/data research, prompt engineering, AI-powered screening or NLP analysis).Ability to work independently under high intellectual standards and generate high-conviction investment ideas.Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills in English.Preferred QualificationsPrior buy-side experience with a high-performance research culture.Exposure to AI prompt engineering, Python data extraction, or automation workflows.Experience tracking SaaS AI monetization strategies (e.g., usage-based AI pricing, AI seat expansion, AI upsell economics).Strong network in the AI/software ecosystem is a plus.ContactBrook ZHANGM&Wechat +86 13917947687
