If that sounds like you, let’s build what’s next.Project title: Shaping functional strategy with AI to drive growth & efficiencyProject Scope/overviewThis project focuses on identifying and driving opportunities where AI can accelerate Airwallex’s growth across the customer lifecycle, and internal efficiency. The intern will work closely with domain-specific teams such as Sales & Marketing, LRC, or Finance to evaluate how AI-powered tools can be embedded into the current journeys.Tasks/deliverablesDetailed Outline:Identify opportunities: Map potential AI use cases to current workflows and identify opportunities for further AI transformationPilot design: Work with functional teams to design 2 to 3 pilot experiments using AI in GTM workflows.Pilot execution: Run pilots with selected pilot groups (e.g., SDR team for outreach, marketing team for GEO content) and track pilot performance against success metricsInsights synthesis: Analyse pilot results to capture learnings on effectiveness, adoption, and business impact (e.g., uplift in conversions, reduced sales lifecycle).GTM growth strategy recommendations: Translate pilot learnings into strategic recommendations for the teams e.g., scaling specific AI tools, transforming the SDR journeyProject MilestonesPilot design sign-off: Alignment with key stakeholders on pilot scope, timeline, and success metrics.Pilot kick-off: Launch of pilots with selected teams and tracking mechanisms activated.Mid-pilot check-in: Interim review of early results and adoption feedbackEnd-of-pilot recommendation: Presentation of findings and strategic recommendations to leadership, including scaling options or alternate options.Expected LearningUsing AI as a growth driver: Develop a clear understanding of how AI-powered tools can be applied to accelerate growth and efficiency.Data-driven strategy & decision making: Gain experience in analysing pilot outcomes using both quantitative metrics (e.g., conversion uplift, adoption rates, efficiency gains) and qualitative feedback, then linking results to strategic business recommendations.Strategic GTM planning: Apply concepts from business strategy courses to recommend how AI can reshape strategy for long-term growth, and transform internal processes for efficiency.Planned Role & ResponsibilitiesParticipate in team standups, strategy discussions, and planning sessions to understand priorities and progress.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and report progress on pilot metricsDeliver interim project updates (bi-weekly check-ins) and a final showcase presentation to leadership.Document insights and recommendations for scaling AI-powered initiatives.Outline Of Onboarding Process Steps In TeamTeam introduction & context: Orientation with the functional teams to understand Airwallex’s growth priorities and AI transformation agenda.Mentorship assignment: Pair with a buddy for ongoing learningAI enablement: Introductory session on responsible use of AI and getting started with general productivity AI tools at AirwallexProposed Schedule Of Review Check-insMonthly check-in for progress review and feedback sharingFinal Review: at 24 weeks (Sharing of learnings and recommendations)Eligibility RequirementsAble to commit to a 6 month placement period, ideally commence in December 2025 through to June 2026.Able to commit to Full Time hours for the duration of the placementAre a current student in Singapore, studying towards a formal tertiary qualification at a recognised university.Strong verbal and written communication skillsDesire to learn and grow with Airwallex as a technologistWe’re looking for people who meet the minimum skills and experience for this role. The preferred skills are great to have, but are not mandatory.Minimum Skills & ExperienceCurrently pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data/Analytics, or related fields.Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (SQL or BI tools is a plus).Structured problem-solving mindset, able to break down complex questions into actionable analysis.Clear communication and presentation skills; comfortable sharing findings with stakeholders.Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn in a fast-changing environment.Preferred Skills & ExperienceFamiliarity with fintech, payments, SaaS, or technology industriesExposure to strategy, consulting, finance, or business analysis through academic work, student clubs, or internshipsComfortable working with large datasets or visualizing insights through tools like LookerApplication and Assessment processApplications are reviewed on a rolling basis with application status changes and outcomes communicated as soon as decisions are finalised.
