AI Technical Trainer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaWork Model: Hybrid (Combination of in-office and remote work)Position Type: Full-Time, DedicatedPosition OverviewSG Academy is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient AI Trainer to lead the delivery of our premier Artificial Intelligence certification programs, the Certified AI Accelerator (CAIA™) and the Certified AI Engineer (CAIE™). These programs are offered in partnership with the United States Artificial Intelligence Institute (USAII)The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator with strong practical knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, and Python. You will be responsible for training a diverse audience, from beginners and young professionals in the non-technical CAIA™ program to the more advanced undergraduates and diploma students in the CAIE™ program.This hybrid role requires a self-motivated individual who can deliver engaging training both in-person at our Kuala Lumpur centre and through virtual instructor-led sessions, as well as provide dedicated support to self-paced learners.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery: Conduct dynamic and engaging instructor-led training sessions (virtual and in-person) for the CAIA™ and CAIE™ certification curriculum.Mentorship & Support: Serve as the dedicated technical mentor for students in both self-paced and instructor-led cohorts. This includes answering queries, providing guidance on projects, and supporting them through the USAII platformPractical Facilitation: Lead hands-on workshops, lab sessions, and practice code reviews. This includes guiding students through "Core Concepts in Python Programming" and the practical application of AI models.Curriculum Expertise: Master the complete examination coverage for both programs, including:CAIA™: AI Foundations, Applied AI (Recommender Systems, Responsible AI), Python Essentials, Generative AI, and PromptingCAIE™: Advanced concepts in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, and Reinforcement Learning.Exam Preparation: Actively prepare and assist students in scheduling and passing their final AI-proctored examsStudent Engagement: Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and ensure a high-quality learning experience to maintain program completion and certification success.Required Qualifications & SkillsEducational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related STEM fieldTechnical Proficiency:Essential: Strong, hands-on expertise in Python programmingCore AI/ML: Demonstrable knowledge of Machine Learning, Deep Learning fundamentals, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Computer Vision.Modern AI: Familiarity with Generative AI, ChatGPT, and prompt engineering conceptsExperience: Proven experience as a technical trainer, corporate trainer, or lecturer in AI, Data Science, or programming.Communication Skills: Excellent ability to explain highly complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including both beginners (non-technical) and aspiring engineers.Work Ethic: A dedicated, patient, and self-starting individual comfortable managing a hybrid work schedule and supporting students proactively.Preferred Qualifications Certifications: Existing certification from USAII (such as CAIA™ or CAIE™) or other recognized AI/Data Science bodies.Industry Experience: Practical experience applying AI, ML, or data science in a commercial or industrial project.Language Skills: Familiarity with other programming languages mentioned in the curriculum, such as R or JavaLocal Context: Experience working with Malaysian students, professionals.Work EnvironmentWork Arrangement: This is a hybrid role. You will be required to be present at the Kuala Lumpur office for in-person training days and team collaboration, with the flexibility to work remotely for administrative tasks and virtual student support.Schedule: Full-time, with potential flexibility required for occasional evening or weekend classes to accommodate working professionals.
