Job Description SummaryThe responsibilities of aircraft engine mechanics include performing engine and module disassembly and assembly per company and manufacturer guidelines, ensuring tools and equipment are properly maintained, calibrated, and returned after use, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. Tasks also involve preventive and predictive maintenance, liaising with the facilities team for repairs, assisting other technicians, and proposing process improvements to enhance day-to-day activities. With our technical expertise and pioneering spirit, we elevate the flying experience to new heights.Role OverviewPerform disassembly and assembly of engines and modules in accordance with Company’s documentation and manufacturer's manuals.Maintenance and care of tools and equipment in the work area.Carry out day to day Engine Maintenance Task as assigned.Overtime: The role may require working overtime based on operational needs.Rotational Shifts: This position operates on a rotational shift basis, which may include morning, evening, and night shifts as per the assigned schedule.Weekend Availability: The role requires availability to work on weekends, as part of the rotational schedule or as needed to support business operations.Ensure punctuality at place of work. Observe all safety precautions.Perform work as assigned and in the manner as specified ensuring that all quality and safety requirements and practices are met.Ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained, utilized and promptly returned in good condition after use. Ensure that tools at work area are calibrated.Ensure work area is clean and that all support equipment is positioned or returned to their appropriate place of storageCarry out day to day preventive or predictive maintenance activity tools and equipment at the respective work area.Liaise with facilities Team for Repairs and Preventive Maintenance activity on facilities & equipment.Assist other technicians in other maintenance activities- Generate simple work instructions for equipment / facility.Propose improvement to on day-to-day activities and process improvements.Ideal CandidateAn ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as an engine assembler/disassembler in aviation / aerospace field.Required QualificationsMin Qualification: Diploma in aircraft maintenance and EASA Part 66 maintenance license holders or equivalent.Min Years of Experience: 2 years of relevant working experience in aviation/aerospace related field.Must have training experience in Gas Turbine Engine (candidate must share certificates, transcripts and training records)Knowledge in Mechanical, Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering.Must have aircraft engine experience.Basic knowledge in Microsoft word & excel applications.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams, learn new skills quickly and share knowledge with colleaguesPreferred QualificationsPassionate about working in an aircraft engine Maintenance Repair and Overhaul ShopStrong desire to work in a teaming environment At GE, we are always searching for great talent.
