JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will be working directly with our Project Managers to assist in the planning and oversight of our projects. In this position, you will be expected to coordinate compliance efforts with local governing authorities, develop and maintain project labor plans and produce and update project drawings. The APM will serve as the quarterback for the site work and be the main point of contact with the client during the construction phase. (HVAC Controls, Insulation, Test & Balance, sheet metal construction & ductwork)Work directly with our Operations teams in the planning and execution of projectsResponsible for holding site safety meetings, following established safety rules and regulations, and maintaining a safe and clean environmentResponsible for onsite management of all sub-contractors and 3rd party laborAssist in the coordination of purchasing and labor needs for projectsResponsible for keeping a daily activity log and reporting site data to the Project ManagerManage logistics and communication as required with customers, local government, and utilityAssist in the creation and updating of project drawingsInteracts with clients and provides exceptional customer service that exceeds expectationsWork with a smart, exciting group to help customers save money and go green!Additional duties required as neededREQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering from an accredited university5 year of experience in increasingly responsible construction management positions and employee management skills have been emphasizedFully bilingual (Spanish/English) is requiredRound experience in the installation and maintenance of industrial utilities such as chillers, air handling units, BAS systems, cooling towers, process, and water pumps, plumbing and piping construction/ installations, proven project accounting managementAIREKO is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
