Position: Senior Corrosion Technician. Experience & Qualification: Secondary School Certificate or equivalent with five (5) years post qualification experience in internal corrosion monitoring and troubleshooting during retrieval / hot tapping operationExperience in utilizing retriever tools & knowledge of access fitting and monitoring devices ( corrosion coupons and various probes) . Safe use of retrievals, service valve, back-pressure pump, surge tube, hot tapping devices, and hydro-testing of access fitting. Capable to use MS-Office applications. Data interpretation & analysis. Corrosion Technicians / Required the following : Experience & Qualification: Secondary School Certificate or equivalent with at least three (3) years post qualification experience in internal corrosion monitoring.
Experience in utilizing retriever tools & knowledge of access fitting and monitoring devices ( corrosion coupons and various probes) . Safe use of retrievals, service valve, back-pressure pump, and surge tube. Fully conversant with operating mechanical / Hydraulic corrosion monitoring online retrieval systems (Cosasco, Caproco, Cormon, Corrocean, Emerson or equivalent type) and the maintenance of the same. Capable of conducting basic chemical and microbiological field tests including serial dilution, rapid check, and recording. Capable of entering data into Excel Spread SheetsAble to use, maintain and service data logging and relevant instrumentation used for corrosion monitoring with probes.
Technician for hot tapping shall be certified by the tool manufacturer for hydro-testing and safe use of hot tapping tools and procedures.
