Algorithms Team Leader – AI, Robotics & 3D Vision A fast-growing AI robotics startup is expanding its core algorithms group.A well-funded AI startup in the robotics space is seeking a hands-on Algorithms Team Leader to lead its Planning Algorithms group. This is a hybrid position that combines deep algorithm development with leadership of a small team of around three engineers. The role will remain hands-on long-term — ideal for someone who wants to stay closely involved in algorithm design, coding, and system architecture while guiding a growing team.Strong senior algorithm engineers may also be considered, provided they bring a deep 3D background and prior experience acting as an algorithms technical lead, even if they have not formally held a managerial title.The company is expected to grow significantly this year, and this role will have direct influence on its planning, perception, and 3D intelligence technologies.🌟 What You’ll Lead (While Staying Deeply Hands-On)You will design and implement advanced planning algorithms across 3D computer vision, multi-view geometry, robotics, and deep learning — with 3D experience being an absolute requirement.Alongside your own development work, you will mentor and guide a small algorithms team, shaping both its technical direction and its day-to-day execution.🔍 What You BringStrong 3D computer vision and 3D geometry expertise — mandatory.Experience in multi-view geometry, robotics algorithms, and deep learning.At least 5 years of hands-on algorithm development with real coding experience in C#, MATLAB, and Python.System-level thinking and experience building full algorithmic pipelines.Team leadership experience is an advantage; alternatively, senior engineers with proven algorithms technical lead responsibilities (architecture, mentoring, domain ownership) will be considered.Ability to thrive in an early-stage, hybrid environment with high ownership and shifting priorities.BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.Experience with industrial automation or manufacturing-related algorithms is a strong advantage.💡 Why This Opportunity Stands OutA true hands-on leadership hybrid role — you will continue building algorithms, coding, and shaping system architecture.Lead a small, focused algorithm group that will evolve as the company grows.Work at the intersection of AI, robotics, planning algorithms, and 3D vision.Significant company growth expected this year, offering expanded responsibility and influence.Hybrid work model, close collaboration across engineering, product, and executive teams.
