Job Description

She/He is responsible for planning and executing both organic and inorganic initiatives, including M&A, partnerships (such as in-licensing), and joint ventures to drive growth and expand group’s portfolio and capabilities. He/she shall work in close collaboration both with key internal stakeholders and external professionals, such as advisors, lawyers and consultants. We are currently considering candidates for both our Milan and Padua offices.Key AccountabilitiesStrategize and plan both organic and inorganic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), partnerships (e.g., in-licensing), and joint ventures, carrying prioritization and evaluation of strategic rationales for opportunities.Oversee and manage deal origination and scouting processes, including assessment of opportunities presented by advisors, and mapping and identification of potential targets.Lead investment case evaluation, framing investment rationale, reviewing financials, developing valuation and sensitivity models, running market segment and comparables assessment.Lead due diligence process including vdr management, contract review, preparing meeting and Q&A sessions with advisors and/or management teams, and managing other internal and external stakeholders involved in the diligence process.Supports deal negotiation and contract structuring.Define, plan, and manage research and intelligence analysis concerning competitors, financial statements, roadmaps, and strategies to derive insights that support informed strategic decisions.Coordinate and manage internal processes tied to function portfolio of projects, including development and updating planning and tracking methods, defining stage-gated plan (i.e., go/no-go), providing regular updates on projects to key internal stakeholders.Prepare material to support deal opportunity discussion at executive level, both C-suite and BoD.Experience & Background7+ years of experience in management consulting in dealing with M&A and Strategic Alliances processes within an international contest and in a multinational businessMaster’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or Management EngineeringBackground of M&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Transaction ServicesStrong financial analysis and modellingExperience in dealing with complex transactions legal frameworksFluency in both written and spoken English and ItalianProactivity, problem solving attitude and strong analytical skillsExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
