Job Description

Job SummaryA project coordinator, in consult and under supervision of the senior project coordinator or contract salesperson, follows through on managing all aspects of the project delivery such as corresponding with contractor, resolving issues, scheduling shipments and install, etc.

Job ResponsibilitiesBut not limited to…DutiesManage on-time project delivery in accordance with the project schedule and contractor requirements, being mindful of lead times for ordering and fabricatingSchedule and outsource shipment and installation of projects as requiredProficient in knowledge and use of software in order to create sales orders and purchase orders, including but not limited to Microsoft Dynamics NAVProcess change orders, troubleshooting product issues, trace shipments, and deal with other project matters as directed by the salespersonProficient in knowledge and use of software in order to create shop drawings, including but not limited to Avaware and AutoCADPossesses an extensive knowledge of products, including but not limited to hollow metal, hardware and wood doors, in order to estimate, detail, purchase or troubleshoot for projects May include estimating or detailing as requiredMay include purchasing for the project as requiredMay include site visitsKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesHardware product knowledge and experience requiredKnowledge of building code requirements pertaining to life safety, security and electronicsAbility to interpret architectural drawingsCost and project managementStrong negotiation skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalFlexible and self-motivatedGoal and result orientedHigh level of commitment and accountability to get the job doneExcellent organizational skillsSound understanding of the hardware, door and building construction industry Strong mathematical aptitudeEducation And Experience RequiredExtensive company training providedProject Management or Architectural Engineering certificate or 2-3 years’ related experience Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and AutoCADProject coordinators are encouraged to further their knowledge base through DHI courses, local hardware chapters, and company training.
