Job Description

Directly responsible to the Manager, Packing, Shipping and Receiving. Must communicate with Scheduler, Sales, Shipping/Receiving, Packaging, and all other plant personnel. Functionally responsible for material being shipped and received as per customer requirements. Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator are detailed below, but not limited to the following: Ship all orders that are available for shipment on timePrepare and record shipments as required in computer system, and affix identifying information and shipping instructionsInspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents.

Record applicable data in the system as required as well as shortages and reject damaged goodsSchedule truck loads and routes based on most optimal modeFiling transportation claims Comply with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirementsTracks, traces, and updates shipment statusCoordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy on shippingMaking special shipping arrangements as necessaryCollaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, quality personnel, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products about information related to the shipmentCompile carrier and route assignmentsParticipates in continuous improvement training and trains othersAll other duties as assignedRequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation/ExperiencePost-secondary education preferred, Grade 12 mandatory 1-3 years of experience in Shipping/ Transportation/3PL/LTL3+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management, and import/export operations experienceTechnical Skills/CompetenceMust have good command of English, written & oral Must have good telephone presence and mannersStrong computer skills; Microsoft Office a mustMust have knowledge of freight class/ harmonization codingCTPAT, PAP, CWPCP and USMCA knowledge an assetPrevious experience in freight forwarding/route planning/manifest maintenance BenefitsWe offer a full and competitive benefits package including:
