Key ResponsibilitiesManage the complete procurement lifecycle for specialty chemicals, including sourcing, RFQs, negotiations, and performance trackingCollaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, Regulatory, Production) to identify and qualify suppliersDeliver measurable improvements in key KPIs:

cost savings, value engineering (VAVE), on-time delivery (OTD), average wait time (AWT), working capital, and sustainabilityNegotiate pricing, lead times, and supply agreements with international suppliers while ensuring complianceConduct supplier site visits and audits to evaluate production capabilities, compliance, and quality systemsImplement strategic sourcing approaches using tools such as the Kraljic MatrixEnsure adherence to relevant regulatory standards (e. g.

, REACH, ISO) and internal quality systemsParticipate in improvement workshops and Kaizen events to drive procurement valueCoordinate logistics and regulatory compliance for handling of hazardous and temperature-sensitive goodsAnalyse procurement KPIs and data to support continuous process improvementSupport new product development by sourcing novel chemical materials and intermediatesServe as escalation point for supplier-related issues involving quality, delivery, or complianceContribute to demand planning and supply continuity strategies through participation in S&OP processesStay informed on global market and regulatory developments impacting chemical sourcingEssential Requirements (Education and Experience)Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or similar scientific/technical fieldAdvanced degree (MBA, MS, or MTech) in Management or related disciplineMinimum 8–9 years of relevant experience in procurement and sourcing within regulated environments (e.

g. , Life Sciences, Biotech, Pharma)Demonstrated knowledge of GMP standards and sourcing practices in chemical supply marketsStrong negotiation and communication skills; proven ability to lead discussions with suppliersWillingness to travel internationally based on business needsFluency in English, both spoken and writtenProficient in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPointPreferred QualificationsIndustry-recognized procurement certifications (e. g.
