Now Hiring: Logistics Methods & Transit Engineer β NamibiaWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics & Road Safety Professional to join one of our clients in Namibia. This position plays a central role in managing transit operations, ensuring compliance with road safety regulations, maintaining logistics governance, and driving local content initiatives. Key ResponsibilitiesTransitServe as the focal point for all import/export customs clearance, liaising with agents and stakeholders. Act as the main contact for all transit-related requirements in Namibia. Support the technical team with all matters linked to transit and freight forwarding.
Road Safety Coordination (RSC)Ensure compliance with national and international road safety regulations. Develop procedures for road transport safety management. Participate in the selection, monitoring, and evaluation of external companies and transporters. Define and deploy the ICT program. Contribute to accident and incident investigations and risk assessments. Develop safety culture programs in collaboration with the HSE team for stakeholders, drivers, contractors, and communities. Monitor the Transport Safety Action Plan. Lead and coordinate the network of Land Transport Correspondents (LTCs). Methods & GovernanceMaintain and update logistics procedures, bridging documents, and policies.
Organize and track updates, ensuring alignment with Marine, Logistics Superintendents, and the Logistics Manager. Promote updated procedures within the team and oversee audit follow-up. Update and propose KPIs, ensuring communication and analysis to drive improvement. Act as the interface with the CMS (Company Management System) Coordinator. Cost Control & FinanceSupport budget preparation and cost control in coordination with technical departments and finance. Follow up on contracts and ensure timely updates. Local ContentAct as the focal point for logistics local content initiatives. Ensure enforcement of local content contractual requirements with logistics contractors. Identify, promote, and propose local logistics providers for qualification.
AccountabilitiesServe as the primary contact for transit of all import/export equipment. Ensure efficient implementation of road safety measures. Oversee logistics methods including budget follow-up, contracts management, KPIs, and procedures. Qualifications & ExperienceB. Sc. /B. A. or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, or Engineering. Minimum of 3β5 yearsβ experience in transit, land transportation, customs, aviation, or offshore O&G activities. Proficiency in MS Office; Power BI knowledge is an advantage. Fluency in written and spoken English.
