Job Description

As a Turnaround Supervisor – Mechanical (Rotating Equipment), you are responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of rotating mechanical works during major turnarounds. You lead field activities, manage contractor teams, and ensure that all rotating scope—such as pumps, compressors and motors—is delivered in line with planning, safety, and performance targets. Supervise and coordinate all rotating mechanical activities in the field during turnaround execution. Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations, site rules, and permit-to-work systems. Conduct daily toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture among own and contractor teams.

Monitor progress against the turnaround schedule, ensuring timely completion of work packages. Interface closely with planning, QA/QC, materials, scaffolding, lifting, and insulation teams to avoid delays and resolve field issues. Review technical documentation (e. g. datasheets, layout drawings, alignment specs, OEM manuals) to guide mechanical teams. Disassembly, inspection, repair, and reinstallation of rotating equipmentAlignment checks (e. g. , laser/shaft alignment)Seal replacements, bearing work, balancing, and testingTrack manpower, equipment utilization, and material readiness; escalate issues as needed to maintain workflow. Maintain accurate field logs, daily reports, and feedback for progress and quality control.

Support punch list clearance, testing, and mechanical completion handover. RequirementsTechnical diploma or equivalent practical experience in mechanical maintenance or supervision, specifically focused on rotating equipment. Proven turnaround/shutdown experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industry is strongly preferred. Deep technical knowledge of rotating machinery: pumps, compressors, motors, turbines, couplings, seals, etc. Familiar with alignment techniques, vibration monitoring basics, and OEM tolerances. Strong leadership in coordinating contractor teams under time pressure and strict safety environments. Experience interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and vendor documentation. Comfortable using tools like SAP (or similar CMMS) and MS Office for tracking and reporting.

Strong communication and coordination skills with a hands-on, proactive mindset. EU citizenship is required.
