As an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization, we are keen to:Demonstrate our ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, andEnhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of systems, including processes for improvement and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirementsWhat You Will Do At BihcJOB SUMMARY:You will manage alumni relations and leverage alumni networks to support student mentorship, internships/attachments, career opportunities, and institutional partnerships through structured engagement, communication, and opportunity sourcing.Scope of the role:Opportunities and Partnerships for job placement Events and communicationAlumni Tracking, Relations & EngagementRecords and ReportingYOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, maintain, and continuously update a comprehensive alumni database (contacts, employment status, sector, location, engagement history)Build and implement an alumni engagement plan that supports mentorship, career talks, guest lectures, and student opportunity pipelinesMobilize alumni to share internship/attachment and job opportunities; maintain a structured process for receiving and validating alumni referralsCoordinate alumni events and engagement activities including networking sessions, career forums, and alumni recognition initiatives (in collaboration with the career services team)Strengthen alumni involvement in institutional development initiatives (industry linkages, sponsorships, advisory support, curriculum feedback, brand advocacy)Act as a functional link between alumni, students, and industry partners to enable mentoring matches, referrals, and collaborationPrepare alumni engagement reports, success stories, and impact summaries for internal communication and management reportingManage alumni communication channels and cadence (e.g., newsletters, platforms, alumni groups) to maintain consistent engagementAny other duties as may be assigned by Management from time to timeSupervisory Responsibilities:Education and Experience:Bachelor’s Degree International Relations, Public Relations, Business management, Marketing or equivalentTwo (2) years’ experience at an Institution of Higher learningDemonstrate continuing professional developmentA deep understanding of, commitment to and involvement in hospitality IndustryExtensive knowledge in ICT and experience of education, higher Education and the issues and challenges facing the sectorKey CompetenciesStakeholder engagement and partnership governanceNetworking, community and relationship engagementEvent planning and coordinationEffective verbal and written communication, including report writingAlumni records, data management, quality assurance, and reportingICT proficiency (MS Office, databases, email, and virtual platforms)Time management, multitasking and teamwork HOW YOU CAN JOIN US:Apply strictly through https://www.redcross.or.ke/Careers and or https://www.bihc.ac.ke/career so as to reach us not later than Friday 23rd March 2026.
