CLIENT OVERVIEW: Our client, a provider of Health, Dental, Vision, Medicaid and Medicare Healthcare service plans in the state of California with 4. 7 million members and $22. 9 billion of annual revenues, seeks an accomplished Medical Records Specialist. JOB OVERVIEW: Job Title: Remote Medical Records Specialist (HEDIS Coordinator) Pay Rate: $20/hr (W2)Location: Remote (Candidate must be in California)Assignment Duration: 6+ MonthsSchedule: Monday to Friday | Start Time: 8: 00 AM / 8: 30 AM | End Time: 4: 30 PM / 5: 00 PMJob Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Outreach Specialist to support medical record retrieval efforts for Medicare PPO populations.

This remote position requires strong communication skills, persistence, and computer proficiency to coordinate with healthcare providers, internal teams, and administrative leads. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in a highly organized and time-sensitive environment. Key Responsibilities:

Make outbound calls to provider offices and hospitals to request medical recordsTrack and document progress using internal abstraction toolsCoordinate with administrative leads and medical record reviewers to manage assigned caseloadsCommunicate effectively with the internal MRR (Medical Record Retrieval) team regarding project status and follow-upsOrganize and maintain systems for tracking medical records and related documentationSend fax requests and follow up with providers as neededResearch providers contact information and claims data using internal and external toolsUse Microsoft Excel daily to manage project progress and report updates/barriers to leadsDemonstrate persistence and resourcefulness in locating and obtaining required recordsPerform additional duties as assigned, including occasional minimal travel if necessaryRequired Qualifications:

Excellent customer service and professional phone communication skillsStrong computer literacy; ability to complete nearly all job functions digitallyHigh attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entryProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelExperience using RightFax and Adobe StandardComfortable working in a remote, team-based environmentPreferred Qualifications: Background in customer service, clerical support, or provider/member outreachPrior experience in a medical record, release of information, or provider relations roleStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience working with healthcare or insurance data systemsAdditional Requirements:

Excel skills testing required prior to onboardingMust have reliable internet access and a secure, quiet work environment for remote work
