Primary Job Title:AML Business Systems Analyst VAlternate/Related Job Titles:API Security Business Systems AnalystInformation Security AnalystCybersecurity Business AnalystAPI Integration AnalystAML Technology AnalystLocation:Toronto, Ontario Onsite Flexibility:Hybrid — 2 days in office weekly (increasing to 4 days/week in 2026)Contract Details:Position Type: ContractContract Duration: 6 months (extension and conversion possible)Start: As Soon As PossiblePay Range: C$90 - C$100 per hourSchedule:Monday-Friday, core business hours (EST)Overtime: As neededRotation: NoneJob SummaryThe AML Business Systems Analyst V will play a critical role in defining, managing, and implementing API security and process improvement initiatives for a leading Canadian financial institution’s Product Owner Enablement Platform.This role combines business systems analysis, API security expertise, and stakeholder engagement to support key security, automation, and compliance initiatives within the organization. The successful candidate will bridge business and technical teams, providing actionable insights and delivering secure, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise goals.Key ResponsibilitiesGather, document, and manage business and system requirements from multiple stakeholders.Develop and support API security strategies and roadmaps (Akamai or NoName API platforms).Drive continuous improvements in API security tooling, alerting, vulnerability management, and risk monitoring.Map and analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation.Conduct data modeling, reporting, and decision-support analysis using SQL and visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau).Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver API lifecycle enhancements and security automation.Develop requirements documentation, workflow guides, and platform integration materials.Support Agile project delivery by managing deliverables, sprint goals, and stakeholder communications.Apply critical thinking to evaluate processes and recommend improvements in systems and structures.Translate complex technical information into clear business terms for leadership and cross-functional teams.Required Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in business systems analysis, API security, or AML systems.Proven experience with Akamai or NoName API Security tools.Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, and manage requirements from diverse stakeholders.Knowledge of API Security OWASP Top 10 and lifecycle management.Strong understanding of process mapping, system analysis, and requirements modeling.Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.Preferred QualificationsHands-on experience with NoName automations and integrations.Experience with database analysis (SQL), Power BI, or Tableau.Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks.API-related or information security certifications (Akamai API Security, NoName Security).Previous experience in financial services, AML, or regulatory technology (RegTech) environments.Required SkillsAPI Security (Akamai / NoName)Business & Systems AnalysisProcess Mapping & AutomationPreferred SkillsSQL / Power BI / Tableau ReportingAPI Lifecycle & GovernanceStakeholder CommunicationAdditional SkillsAgile Project SupportData Integration & DocumentationRisk Assessment & Continuous ImprovementAbout the CompanyA top 10 North American bank offering comprehensive financial services in retail, commercial, and wealth management.
