Job Description

PurposeAssist senior members of the Investment team in evaluating, underwriting and exiting investment opportunities related to renewable energy and the global energy transition through different tasks such as financial and valuation analysis, transaction preparation, review of legal documentation, coordinating with internal and external parties, post investment monitoring, deal exists, investor reporting, fundraising and marketing, amongst others.Responsibilities1.Evaluate new investments: perform market research and detailed business analysis, write investment screening and investment summary reports.2.Spread and analyze historical financial statements, and operational details and drivers.3.Assist in valuation modeling of prospective investments and business plans and conduct investment returns and sensitivity analyses.4.Assist in drafting and developing transaction documentation and Investment Committee documentation and proposals.5.Assist in due diligence process by organizing, reviewing, and analyzing data room materials6.Keep logs of tasks to be accomplished and tasks that have been completed, by all parties across the transaction (including Vortex Energy’s own work streams, counterparty work streams, and advisors work streams/deliverables and timelines).7.Monitor Vortex Energy’s portfolio companies by: a. obtaining and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational KPI reports b.providing on-site assistance to the businesses as needed. c.participating in meetings/calls with management where required. d.Writing, keeping and tracking meeting minutes.8.Assist in the evaluation of exit opportunities and draft exit proposals.9.Support the Fund administration by assisting in tracking and managing communications with current and potential investors.10.Ensure compliance with all applicable AML/CTF rules and regulations as required in the conduct of your role.11.Ensure timely completion of all relevant AML/CTF training provided by the Group.12.Ensure response to AML, CTF & sanctions inquiries in a timely manner.Job Requirements1.Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering, with outstanding academic track record from a top tier regional, or international university. Coupled with strong knowledge in finance2.1-4 years’ experience in any of the following: energy, renewables, project finance, investment, and M&A.3.Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.4.Must have strong accounting and financial modelling skills.5.Comfortable with different industry, business, and financial analysis frameworks6.Demonstrated multi-tasking abilities and ability to employ logical/analytical reasoning to prioritize and manage multiple tasks successfully.7.Resilient, with the ability to think clearly and work effectively under pressure.8.Ability to act with the utmost integrity at all times.9.Highly driven and internally motivated, self-starter, with a focus on details.10.Excellent presentation skills.11.Excellent command of Arabic and English.12.Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).13.Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.14.Ensures deliverables are always of a high quality.“Thank you for your interest in applying to EFG Holding.
