The parties also acknowledge that employees in the role may be asked to perform certain operational tasks such as evaluating and/or meeting with candidates for open positions and/or assisting in the training or mentoring of colleagues.Analyst, Audience AnalyticsAs Analyst, Audience Analytics, you thrive on solving complex business data challenges with both technical skill and human-centered collaboration. You’re fluent in SQL and comfortable with Python (or eager to learn), but you also recognize that data must be accessible where stakeholders work most—often in spreadsheets. With a practical command of Google Sheets (or Excel, with a willingness to learn Sheets), including advanced functions like query and array formulas, you make data usable and actionable.You know that meaningful insights arise from conversations as much as from queries. You build trust with collaborators—including fellow analysts who rely on your technical expertise—while fostering open, thoughtful questioning. In an industry defined by constant change and emerging opportunities, you bring clarity and calm. Because not every problem has a simple, binary solution, you excel at engaging deeply with complex questions and delivering well-structured datasets that enable insights to move the business forward—even when the answers are nuanced or evolving.Responsibilities:Respond to ad hoc data needs across multiple departments, developing a deep understanding of audience analytics in order to deliver the right data for functions as varied as Editorial, Finance, and Partnerships.Build scalable reporting solutions in Google Sheets, leveraging advanced formulas (e.g., queries, arrayformulas) to efficiently organize and blend data. Create dynamic, interactive workbooks that stakeholders can explore and use independently.Ensure data quality and accuracy by sense-checking numbers, troubleshooting discrepancies across multiple sources, and coordinating with teams such as Data Governance, Business Intelligence, and Data Engineering. Partner with other analysts to QA and improve their code.Support the production of regular reporting, including weekly and monthly audience performance updates, while continuously identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting efficiency.Foster a strong documentation culture by maintaining clear, accurate documentation of key metrics, including the underlying SQL logic, in data catalogs such as Alation.Skills and Qualifications:At least 2 years of experience as an analyst in highly complex data environments—ideally in digital media, though experience in finance or other data-rich industries is also valuable.Proficiency with Google’s core productivity tools (Sheets, Docs, Slides, etc.), with strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets for organizing, analyzing, and presenting data.Solid experience with SQL for querying and transforming data, and proficiency in Python with an eagerness to continue learning.Familiarity with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics (experience with YouTube Analytics is a plus).Basic understanding of statistical concepts and their application in business contexts.Demonstrated ability to work effectively across departments and manage deliverables for multiple stakeholders in fast-moving environments.What happens next?If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply below.
