This position will be responsible for providing transportation and distribution though leadership, as well as the execution of all key logistics and trade compliance processes in Japan.This position is part of the Japan L&D function located in Mishima, Shizuoka, Japan and will be on-site. If you thrive in a dynamic, driven, multifunctional, fast paced, team orientated role and want to work to build a world-class Logistics and Distribution function in Japan —read on.In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity ToPlan export shipments for internal and external customers overseas, , actively engaging with multiple stakeholders to gather and integrate their diverse requirements.Acquire METI export permit to support customers in Russia and provide critical updates and communicate status of permit applications to global teams.Manage procedures and trainings for Logistics & Distribution (L&D) Associates in Beckman Coulter warehouses in JapanMaintain business relationships with Customs Brokers and Freight ForwardersMonitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics to measure efficiency and improvement of L&D Associates from views of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory and ProductivityImprove Freight and Warehousing processes and systems; driving towards “Best-In-Class” operations.Lead and participate in Kaizen projects in collaboration with internal & external stakeholdersThe Essential Requirements Of The Job IncludeBusiness-level English proficiency (Vantage), in addition to JapaneseBachelor’s degreeConceptual and practical expertise in the field related to logistics control/management as well as knowledge of best practices differentiated in the marketProblem solving skills to deal with complex issues, taking a new perspective using existing solutionsNo supervisory responsibilities but provide informal guidance to other team membersIt would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Working experience in Supply Chain or Logistics industryExperience with ERP system developmentExperience in Audit Responses (ISO9001, ISO 13485, Customs Audits etc.)Join our winning team today.
