Job DescriptionJob Purpose: This role drives robust risk management through the development, integration, and governance of data-driven insights across credit risk portfolios. The role plays a strategic part in building scalable data solutions, ensuring data quality and availability, and enabling automation across analytics and operational processes. The role ensures the strategic use of risk data to support decision-making, risk appetite, portfolio monitoring and regulatory compliance. By combining advance analytics with strong business acumen, the role enhances risk transparency, enables proactive risk identification, and supports the optimization of risk-return outcomes across the organizationKey Responsibilities Data Integration & Governance: Support integration of risk data across credit and operational domains. Ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability for governance and regulatory compliance. Risk Analytics & Insights: Develop dashboards and analytics to monitor KRIs, trends, and portfolio performance. Translate complex data into actionable insights for credit decisions and risk appetite setting. Technology-driven Automation & Innovation: Assist in identifying automation opportunities using available technology and platforms in the bank. Support implementation of predictive analytics and reporting enhancements. Process Improvement & Efficiency: Continuously assess current workflows and risk data processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Drive process reengineering initiatives using advanced analytics and digital tools to enhance speed, accuracy, and scalability. Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting: Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Business and relevant Business enablers and stakeholders to align on data requirements, risk metrics, and reporting frameworks. Prepare and present analytics insights to management and committees. Portfolio Risk Management Support: Provide analytical support for portfolio segmentation, stress testing, limit setting, and portfolio optimization. Monitor risk-adjusted performance and support strategic decisions across customer segments and asset classes. Regulatory & Audit Readiness: Support data readiness and documentation for reviews, internal audits, and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with data privacy, governance, and industry regulations. Project Management: Support strategic alignment by actively participating in projects / initiatives with respect of credit portfolio, business strategy, productivity or quality improvement that support business growth and enhance risk management. People Management – Customer and Employee Engagement & DevelopmentCustomer Foster proactive collaboration with CIMB Singapore Risk, Business Units (BUs), Business Enablers (BEs), and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment on data, analytics, and portfolio risk objectives. Build and maintain strong working relationships with business support functions, credit teams, and other risk management areas to facilitate seamless data integration and reporting. Represents Risk Data & Analytics function in working groups and forums, promoting a culture of transparency, responsiveness, and shared accountability. Employee Engagement & Development Demonstrate strong analytical and technical capabilities to support team initiatives and contribute to the development of junior analysts or project team members. Provide guidance on data tools, reporting frameworks, and risk analytics, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s strategic objectives and Group Risk priorities. Actively contributes to knowledge sharing and skill development within the team, including documentation of best practices and participation in training efforts. Regulatory Compliance Provide support to Singapore Risk in addressing MAS requirements and audit request, ensuring the Branch’s risk framework and practices are in compliance with the applicable banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures. Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments and best practices in credit risk management to continuously enhance the bank’s risk management capabilities. Requirements Graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field. Experience in Banking or Financial Industry with in-depth knowledge of Retail and Non-Retail products and services is an advantage Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. Possess critical thinking capabilities including strong problem-solving and judgment skills. Agile and growth mindset with the ability to embrace change and drive innovation in risk management practices. Self-motivated and adaptable with strong initiative and desire to learn and develop. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across departments. Strong analytical skills to review and analyse data. Savvy with usage of MIS / analytics / data visualisation tools e.g. Tableau Proficient in Python, SQL, SAS, R2 will be added advantage. Understanding of credit lifecycle and retail/wholesale lending products is an advantage.
