Come join us—and let the world feel your work.As an Analytics Engineer, you will join the central Analytics Engineering team. Your mission is to provide the tools, solutions, and datasets that enable the company to stay ever more data-informed by bridging the gap between product development and data analytics.You will play a vital role in ingesting data from our data lake into the data warehouse, where it will be transformed, scheduled, and made ready for use by analytics and product development teams. Our modern data stack runs on Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery as a data warehouse, Google Cloud Composer (Airflow) for orchestration, and dbt for data transformation. This is a chance to join an organization with passionate Data Scientists and Engineers at an early stage of building a data analytics platform that scales worldwide.Your key responsibilities include:Design, build, and maintain the Epidemic data models.Drive data architecture matters, ensuring that everything from tracking to reporting cubes adheres to Epidemic’s best practices.Act as a stakeholder and partner with both engineering and analytics teams to deliver well-defined, tested, and high-quality data sets.Work with business stakeholders and design data models to quantitatively support everything from corporate strategy to user acquisition.Support and mentor analytics consumers on best software engineering practices and share learnings across the organization.RequirementsExperience with data modeling in a modern data environment (such as BigQuery or Snowflake)Strong communication skillsExperience translating business requirements into robust data modelsExperience in SQL and Python.A love for teamwork, continuous improvement, and sharing knowledge.Follow best software engineering practices in your work.Professional working proficiency in English.Nice to haveExperience with dbt or previous experience working with or setting up ELT-like data pipelines.Experience with any of the following tooling: Terraform, Snowplow, Apache Airflow, Looker.Experience with cloud computing such as GCP or AWS.Equal opportunity employerWe believe that bringing people together from different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives makes for a healthy workplace, a more successful business and a better world.
