We have 150+ experts of IT and data based in different cities in Finland.We develop digital services and create innovations for Helsingin Sanomat, the leading daily newspaper in Finland, Ilta-Sanomat, the market leader in digital and mobile news, regional media Aamulehti, Satakunnan Kansa and a large number of local and regional newspapers as well as beloved lifestyle brands.About The RoleIn this role, you willWrite high quality, maintainable code and release it as well working featuresPerform peer reviews and participate in technical discussions both at the team level and product levelParticipate in internal and/or external developer communitiesContribute to technical planning and backlog managementHelp investigate and resolve production issuesAbout YouIn our belief, we find the following characteristics important to succeed in the job.Experience. 3+ years of mobile software development experience (out of which at least 1 year in Android development with Kotlin), with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, production-ready applications.Android software engineering. We require knowledge in Kotlin. Experience in Jetpack Compose is preferred but not required. Familiarity with Kotlin Coroutines and Flows is a plus.Architecture. You have experience in implementing and maintaining complex mobile applications with a focus on scalable, maintainable, efficient, and testable architecture.Communication. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential. You should be able to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with developers, designers, product managers, and other stakeholders.Willingness to learn. As new, interesting, and better technologies evolve, you have the willingness and demonstrated capability to learn new things quickly and share your learnings with others.We have an open culture and have hybrid working model with 50% of work time at the office.
