The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).Position SummaryUnder the general supervision of the Animal Resources Division Manager, the candidate performs animal care-related duties, technical procedures and administrative duties related to the care and use of laboratory animals on various sites of the RI-MUHC.General Duties Performs husbandry duties related to the care and maintenance of animals, Records and reports various data related to animal care or animal use, Clean, wash and disinfect cages, Receive, store and deliver food and accessories required for the keeping and maintenance of the animals, Help maintain inventory of materials and equipment, Distribute clean linen and uniforms, Operates and monitors appropriate equipment, tools, materials and instruments, Interaction with researchers.Website of the organizationhttps://rimuhc.ca/enRequired Skills Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize work, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to adapt and effectively perform in different work environments, Excellent organizational skills in managing multiple priorities, multi-tasking and prioritizing for time-sensitive issues and working under minimal supervision, Proficient French and English spoken and written. Previous experience working with animals is an assetAdditional informationStatus : Temporary Occasional Part-time (on call), hours per week will vary according to the need of the division. Training offered at start of employment requiring a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks of in-week (Mon-Fri, 35 hours/week) availability.Pay Scale: $22.83 to $34.26/ hour.
