Position OverviewThe Paralegal plays a pivotal role within the Legal team, supporting the growth and compliance of our national franchised network. Reporting to the Legal Counsel, this dynamic, generalist position offers broad exposure across our Support Office and club network, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a business that champions health and wellness.
You’ll assist with day-to-day legal operations, including coordinating and issuing franchise documentation, conducting research and initial document reviews, triaging workflows, and providing input and guidance to the Compliance Administration team. You’ll also help refine internal processes and policies, to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Your work will directly support key initiatives of refreshed club designs, franchise agreement management, and the protection of our Anytime Fitness brand and intellectual property. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Legal, Finance and other Support Office teams, providing both administrative and legal support.
You’ll also contribute to ad-hoc projects, offering variety and the chance to expand your skills in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. Key Responsibilities IncludeAssist the Legal team in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of contracts, including franchise agreements, vendor agreements and deedsConduct legal research and analysis across various areas such as franchise law, intellectual property, employment law and complianceCoordinate and issue franchise documentation, ensuring accuracy and timelinessSupport the development and refinement of internal legal processes, policies and templates to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulationsMaintain and update legal databases, records and files, ensuring all data and documents are well-organised and easily accessibleTriage incoming legal and compliance queries, managing workflow priorities efficiently across the teamProvide input and guidance to the Compliance Administration team on document handling and procedural improvementsCommunicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including franchisees, vendors, suppliers and external legal counselSupport the management of franchise agreement compliance, including monitoring defaults and renewalsAssist in the protection and enforcement of the Anytime Fitness brand and intellectual propertyPerform general administrative and paralegal duties including filing, document preparation and support for ad-hoc legal projectsMaintain a high standard of confidentiality and data protection, adhering to best practices in safeguarding sensitive informationContribute to the delivery of legal services in an efficient, accurate, and professional manner, earning the confidence of the Support Office and franchise networkMaintain a high standard of confidentiality and data protection, adhering to best practices in safeguarding sensitive informationOther projects and responsibilities as assignedDemonstrate commitment to living our Anytime Fitness values:
