Production Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: Primary responsibility consists of maintaining a highly productive work flow while minimizing unnecessary interruptions or delays, including scheduling hourly employees and operations while providing information, support, materials, and equipment necessary to fulfill customer orders. This must be accomplished while enforcing safety, quality, and organization throughout the work environment. Essential Functions of the job: Manages all aspects of production for the most efficient plant schedule and leads to on-time order fulfilment. Schedule, direct, and instruct employees to maintain maximum production. Support the development/improvement of new production activities, work procedures & processes.

Manage or facilitate the implementation of continuous improvement projects and initiatives. Train, supervise and otherwise manage hourly employees in the department. Provide information, instructions, and support to employees related to the tasks expected. Perform audits and enforce written procedures to ensure the highest quality of production. Instruct employees and enforce Company policies to maintain organization and cleanliness in the department to provide a safe work environment with optimal work flow. Other duties as assigned. Essential Skills and Experience Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:

10+ years’ experience in a production facility as a manager or similar role in a manufacturing/production environment. Must have a demonstrated history of implementing change and designing processes –such as workflow, areas of responsibility, and communication toolsMicrosoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)Strong Technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Great communication and leadership skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Good organizational skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy. Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job: Associates/bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job: Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time. Occasional lifting of objects up to 50lbs.
