We look out for one another, leaving no on behind as we grow.Job Summary:As a Full Stack AI Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data science concepts into secure, scalable, and user-friendly AI-powered applications. Embedded within the Data Analytics Office, you will collaborate across departments to understand business needs, identify relevant data sources, and rapidly prototype solutions that demonstrate tangible value.You will lead the end-to-end development of lightweight pilot web applications and APIs, integrating AI services such as language models and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines. Your work will emphasize front-end development and seamless backend/API integration, leveraging cloud-native, serverless, and PaaS components to ensure solutions are production-grade by design and able to support simple production use case.This role will focus on implementing forward looking technologies and practices, including co-development using GenAI coding assistants, secure cloud-native architectures, and agile product iteration. You will also contribute to internal capability building through reusable components, documentation, and knowledge sharing.Preference will be given to Singaporean nationals due to data sensitivity and regulatory requirements.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset with proactive problem-solving skills—taking initiative to identify opportunities, overcome technical challenges, and drive innovation in AI application development.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to translate technical prototypes into business value and strategic recommendations.Rapidly prototype and iterate on AI-powered applications in collaboration with analytics teams.Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to creatively transform requirements into well-designed applications that operate effectively within constraints and our unique operating environment.Design and implement secure APIs and lightweight web applications to demonstrate value quickly and reliably.Integrate AI services (e.g., LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, content filtering/guardrails) into user-facing applications.Apply secure coding and data handling practices throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.Conduct testing and quality assurance activities, including integration and user acceptance testing, to ensure reliability and performance.Manage deployment and operational readiness on cloud-native, serverless, and PaaS environments, including logging, monitoring, and cost optimization.Document technical designs, processes, and governance requirements for transparency and audit readiness.Create reusable templates and components to accelerate future development and promote consistency across projects.Support knowledge sharing and capability building within the team through documentation, guides, and internal training.Qualifications and Requirements:4+ years experience building user-facing applications or services end-to-end in a professional setting, with at least 2+ years hands-on in backend or full-stack roles.Programming: Strong in Python (modern async patterns, typing, testing).Backend: Proven experience building secure web APIs with FastAPI (or equivalent Python frameworks), including request/response validation, error handling, and performance tuning.Frontend: Practical experience with one or more of: HTMX, Svelte, or Next.js, able to ship lightweight, usable pilots (component composition, state/data flow, forms, client–server interactions).Cloud: Experience designing and deploying on AWS using serverless or PaaS components (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3).LLM application engineering: Experience integrating language model APIs into applications (prompt design, grounding/RAG patterns, guardrails, basic evaluation).Mindset: Openness to using GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, ClaudeCode) to accelerate scaffolding, refactoring, and documentation—while applying sound judgment and verification.Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
