The successful applicant will be a seasoned building trades professional, able to assist in the development and management of block-by- block and scatter-site, grant-funded home improvement initiatives. The applicant shall demonstrate capacity to assess the structural integrity of residential units and have familiarity with the City of Albany Building Codes, requirements for historically sensitive properties and issues of environmental concern. OSHA, Lead-based safety training, desired. The Project Manager (PM) will collaborate with homeowners to identify the scope of work, and related costs for their project.
The PM will facilitate the hire of appropriate contractors to perform the work and establish quality assurance protocols to ensure desired outcomes. The Applicant must be a collaborator, comfortable working in inner-city neighborhoods and have the capacity to foster trusted professional relationships with homeowners, contractors, and government agencies.
