Job DescriptionUNS is one of the most sustainable and innovative architecture offices in the world. Our UNS Model Space archive is a vital part of our creative process, housing a collection of physical models that document our projects and serve as a source of inspiration and reference for our team.Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Archive Assistant (12-16 hours per week) to support the maintenance and management of the Model Space. The Archive Assistant will play a key role in cataloging, preserving, and organizing architectural models, ensuring they are accessible and well-maintained for internal use and external presentations.Key ResponsibilitiesCataloging and Documentation:Accurately document and catalog architectural models, including metadata such as project name, date, scale, and materials.Maintain and update the digital archive system for easy retrieval of models.Model Preservation and Maintenance:Ensure models are stored in optimal conditions to prevent damage or deterioration.Perform regular inspections and minor repairs on models as needed.Organization and Accessibility:Organize the Model Space archive to ensure models are easily accessible for team members.Assist in preparing models for presentations, exhibitions, or client meetings.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with project teams to ensure models are accurately represented and available when needed.Administrative Support:Maintain an inventory of materials and supplies needed for model preservation and repairs.Assist in creating guidelines or manuals for model handling and storage.Job requirementsQualificationsEducation and Experience:Background in architecture, design, art history, or a related field is preferred.
