If you’re ready to lead with vision and inspire innovation, apply now and become a key player in our journey to redefine success!Responsibilities & Expectations:The Area General Manager will oversee supervisors, leads, technicians, equipment, and materials to meet both daily production and long-term business goals in an electrical field service and breaker shop facility. This is a highly visible position, offering the opportunity to shape the future success and growth of the organization.The position is responsible for leading the business unit to deliver safety, operational, profit, sales, and customer KPI goals utilizing the IPS operating system known as CIPS (Continuous Improvement Process Solution). Overall responsibility for managing and growing the key value stream of field service and breaker repair. Build and sustain a culture around the IPS values of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Entrepreneurial Spirit by utilizing a Servant Leadership mindset and practices. Recruit and develop a top-performing organization while improving overall employee engagement.Leadership and Culture:Foster a high-performance culture aligned with IPS values (Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Accountability, Customer Focus, and Entrepreneurial Spirit)Lead by example, demonstrating servant leadership to inspire and motivate the teamRecruit, develop, and retain top talent, focusing on improving employee engagementDevelop business strategies, annual operating plans (AOP), and tactical execution to achieve objectives. Monitor financial, sales, cost, operating, and customer service trends, making adjustments as necessaryThis position has P&L responsibility for locations assigned and is a key member of the region’s leadership teamOperational Excellence:Drive operational excellence by leveraging the CIPS system to achieve safety, operational, profit, sales, and customer KPI goalsOptimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize efficiency and effectivenessAnalyze financial data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reductionImplement innovative solutions and best practices to enhance service delivery and customer satisfactionCustomer Focus:Build and maintain strong relationships with key customersProactively address customer needs and exceed expectationsDrive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction and loyaltyTeam Development and Collaboration:Empower and develop team members to reach their full potentialFoster a collaborative and inclusive work environmentEffectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, field personnel, and customersQualifications and Competencies:BA/BS in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Electrical, Business or related technical degree preferredMinimum of 7 years of experience in general management or operations in the power distribution industry highly preferred5+ years of electrical testing experience or power generation services highly preferredEntrepreneurial self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize projects, delegating when appropriateDemonstrated technical acumen to manage complex field service business with diverse customer segments and multiple product lines3 years of experience managing operational improvement or efficiency projects a plusDesired Skills:Strong leadership and interpersonal skillsProven track record in managing and leading teamsExcellent communication and presentation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsDeep understanding of the industrial service industry and its challengesProficiency in financial analysis and budgetingAbility to adapt to change and drive innovationA passion for continuous improvement and operational excellenceYou’ll thrive at IPS if you… Lead with integrity and prioritize safety.
