It currently owes 17 estates (about 4 000 acres of which 2 000 have vineyards) and employs about 400 employees. Growth has been impressive since its creation in 1992 with a passion for excellence, innovation, respect for the biodiversity and appreciation for conviviality. The owner and President, Gerard Bertrand, was a professional rugby player and remains competitive (“Nothing is impossible”). He is a driving force behind the development of biodynamic wine practices and has written books about it.In the US, the Company introduced its wines in 2008 and has its own importing subsidiary based in Dallas, TX. The Area Sales Manager ensures that efforts are focused on appropriate accounts, territories, and priorities to achieve the Company’s objectives.• Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling execution of sales and consumer marketing plans through assigned sales personnel to the retail and on-premise trade.• Achieving distribution, display, feature ad, on-premise promotion and shelf management objectives that produce the on-going effective presentation of the brands to the consumer at the point of purchase.• Communicating to management information and recommendations that will contribute to the development of brands, sales personnel effectiveness and customer satisfaction.• Ensure that the brand discount plan is effective in achieving a buy-in while meeting retail price guidelineDuties And Responsibilities• Manages the business within the assigned territories.• Focus is NY and NJ but that the person may have to intervene on other states or see his scope change.• Responsible for monthly depletions, placements, and programs to exceed the states goals.• Monitors and evaluates program execution within the distributor sales force while in the trade.• Interfaces directly with key on and off premise accounts to grow our business.• Manages key accounts by targeting sales by brand and monitoring the execution via sales reporting on a regular basis.• Conducts retailer and wait staff trainings to help create ambassadors for our portfolio.• Motivates and manages distributor sales forces and executives through leadership, inspires confidence, and gains respect as our company spokesman.• Utilizes account sold data and depletion information to identify opportunities and achieve brand standards.• Conducts weekly account calls, in addition to managing the distributors.• Conducts sales meetings and training at the distributor level.• Works flexible hours and travels both domestically and internationally.• Responds quickly to all needs set upon by management and the corporate leadership team.Requirements• A graduate in business or marketing, with at least 3 years in the wine and spirits industry.• Passionate about French wine, and a good understanding of the overall wine industry.• Proven track record of winning new business in top accounts.• Strong negotiation skills and extremely detail oriented.• Excellent presentation and oral communication skills.• Ability to deliver a strong presentation in an entertaining and educational manner.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain focus on key initiatives.• Strong analytical skills, with aptitude for numbers and spreadsheets.• Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).• Maintains a safe driving record and reliable transportation.• Ability to work independently and is a self-starter.Compensation Package• Compensation (annual base salary, plus bonus eligibility) commensurate with experience.• Benefits: medical, dental, vision plans; disability (ST and LT); life insurance; 401K with Company’s contribution; car allowance.HR PARTNERS US CONTACTSEmmanuel Cargill - Managing Director @ HR Partners USEmail: ecargill@hrpartners-us.com
