Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic, pro-active. and detail-oriented HR Generalist to partner closely with and support our Director of People & Talent. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a talented HR professional with 3–5 years of experience and a passion for people, operational excellence, compliance, and delivering an exceptional employee experience. As HR Generalist, you will oversee bi-monthly and hourly payroll processing, administer our 401(k) plan, and support benefits administration—including open enrollment and employee inquiries.
You’ll also manage our ATS (Greenhouse), post jobs, review resumes, conduct initial screens, coordinate interviews, and assist with onboarding and offboarding. Additionally, you’ll play an active role in performance reviews, employee engagement activities, events and programs, and more!This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to deepen their HR expertise and gain exposure to the full employee lifecycle while actively contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesPayroll & Benefits AdministrationProcess bi-monthly exempt and bi-weekly non-exempt payroll accurately and on timeAdminister 401(k) plan contributions and related activitiesSupport benefits administration, including open enrollment, responding to benefits inquiries on provisions, benefits enrollments and status changes. Talent Acquisition & OnboardingManage the Applicant Tracking System (Greenhouse), including job postings and candidate pipeline managementReview resumes, conduct initial screening calls, and schedule/coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managersSupport onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, system setup, exit documentation, and system updates. Provide in-depth presentation for all new hires and distribute enrollment materials/determines eligibility.
Employee Lifecycle & EngagementAssist with performance review processes and trackingContribute to employee events and engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace cultureProvide day-to-day support to employees and managers on HR-related questions and needsGeneral HR SupportMaintain and update employee records in HRIS database with new and changing information, ensure accuracy and integrity of informationSupport HR compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to company policies and employment lawsAssist with other HR projects and initiatives as neededProvide daily and backup support to the receptionist (e. g.
, greeting visitors, answering calls, assisting with front-desk and office coordination duties)Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field required3–5 years of HR experience, ideally in a Generalist function in a fast-paced environment2-3 years hands on experience overseeing payroll processing (exempt and non-exempt)2-3 years benefits administrationExcellent technical skills, including Excel, Greenhouse ATS or similar recruiting platforms, as well as HRIS/Payroll systemsGeneral understanding of HR best practices and California employment lawsStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailExceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust across all levelsPositive, flexible, and collaborative mindsetCompensationThis LA -based position requires in-office work five days per week to ensure close alignment among all team members.
This position is exempt, regular full-time, with salary range: $70K - $80K, plus discretionary bonus potential.
