Art Director / Designer - Luxury Beauty CatalogIndustry: Luxury RetailLocation: Boston ideal for on-site visits with the team here & there; NYC candidates considered remoteScope: 30 hours per week, ongoingPay Range: $50-$60 per hourOverviewOur client, a Greater Boston area agency, is seeking a seasoned Art Director / Designer with deep expertise in editorial layout design to create a new creative format for a high-end beauty brand's monthly printed catalog. This role requires translating the client's vision (provided via PowerPoint) into visually compelling, polished page layout options that will set the foundation for the catalog's design.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret the client's creative vision from a PowerPoint deck and develop innovative catalog layout templates.Design multiple page layout options that balance editorial storytelling with product-focused presentation.Ensure all designs reflect the luxury brand's image and resonate with high-end beauty aesthetics.Collaborate with internal teams and deliver templates for production designers to execute.Complete the first draft within 1 week and finalize all designs within 2 weeks to meet production timelines.Work closely with production teams and client stakeholders to maintain creative consistency.QualificationsExtensive experience in editorial layout design, ideally for luxury or beauty brands.Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign.Strong portfolio showcasing high-end catalog and editorial designs.Ability to meet tight deadlines and work collaboratively with internal and external teams.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.BenefitsCreative Circle's Freelance Employee benefits package includes eligibility for Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) medical plan, dental/vision/term life package, discount prescription program, critical illness, accident, tele-behavioral health, and 401(k) plan.
