Please note that all official communication will only be sent from @zennioptical.com addresses.About the Role:We are looking for a freelance Art Director to help drive the evolution of our brand identity and creative campaigns. You’ll concept, direct, and execute across multiple touchpoints—from brand storytelling and photography to integrated marketing campaigns and social content.Reporting to the VP, Engagement Marketing, this is a 3-6-month contract at 20 hours/week for a hands-on, fast-moving creative thinker who loves crafting smart, cohesive, and visually stunning ideas that connect with customers.Responsibilities:Concept and develop brand and marketing campaigns across digital, social, retail, and experiential channelsPartner with copywriters, designers, and producers to bring integrated creative ideas to lifeArt direct photo and video shoots, from pre-production through post, ensuring brand cohesion and visual excellenceCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e-commerce, UX, product, product marketing, brand) to align creative with business goalsProvide clear direction and inspiration to design and production teamsOversee external creative partners or agencies when needed, maintaining Zenni’s brand standardsHelp create playbooks and toolkits for campaign rollout and creative consistencyStay ahead of trends in design, fashion, and digital storytelling to infuse fresh perspective into our workBasic Qualifications:5+ years of art direction experience (agency or in-house) with a strong record of integrated brand workExpertise in branding, campaign development, and visual storytellingSolid portfolio demonstrating a balance of conceptual thinking and executional craftProven experience directing photo and video shootsStrong understanding of digital-first content, including social, motion, and new media formatsExcellent sense of style, composition, and color, with an ability to evolve a brand’s aestheticSkilled collaborator who thrives in a fast-paced, iterative environmentProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar creative toolsStrong communicator—able to present ideas clearly and persuasivelyCompensationThis is a contract role with an esimated duration of 12 to 16 weeks, the estimated range for this role is $70 - 100 /hr. The final offer will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skill set, experience, geographical location, market conditions, and other organizational needs.
