VFX Artist – IWG Studio (Remote / Freelance)Summary At IWG Studio, we’re crafting Avaroth Online, a hardcore MMORPG built in Unreal Engine 5. We’re looking for a talented VFX Artist to help bring our world to life — from the impact of a sword clash to the mysticism of ancient spells. This role is perfect for artists who love creating gameplay-driven visual effects and want to leave their mark on an ambitious indie project.ResponsibilitiesDesign, create, and implement high-quality real-time VFX for characters, abilities, environments, and UI.Collaborate closely with the design and animation teams to ensure effects match gameplay and narrative intent.Optimize effects for performance on both client and server builds.Create shaders, particle systems, and materials inside Unreal Engine 5 using Niagara.Contribute to the artistic vision of the project by suggesting improvements and new ideas.Maintain clear communication with other departments and meet agreed milestones.RequirementsSolid experience creating real-time VFX in Unreal Engine 5 (Niagara).Strong artistic sense for color, motion, timing, and composition.Understanding of shader creation, materials, and optimization.Experience working with stylized or semi-realistic visuals is a plus.Ability to collaborate in remote, asynchronous environments (Discord, Notion, Git, etc.).A strong portfolio showcasing your best real-time effects work.Passion for online RPGs and action combat is a big bonus.About IWG Studio“Forged by players, for players.” IWG Studio is an independent game development studio based in Argentina, focused on building immersive and challenging online worlds.
