Summary: We are seeking a talented and collaborative UX Designer II to join our team as a vendor. In this role, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create intuitive, user-centered digital experiences. You will contribute to all phases of the design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and usability testing. Typical Day in the Role • Purpose of the Team: The team focuses on end-to-end UX, working across the user journey that spans multiple products and product teams, specifically covering internal scenarios for Azure cloud infrastructure. • Key Projects:
Projects involve designing for complex, technical scenarios within Azure, dealing with infrastructure and internal tools, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders. • Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm: The role is highly collaborative, involving frequent meetings, proactive stakeholder communication, co-designing with a senior mentor, and working through technical constraints. The candidate will participate in pitching investments to partners and will not work in isolation. Candidate Requirements • Years of Experience Required: 2–4 years of relevant UX design experience. • Degrees or Certifications Required: None required; portfolio and experience are prioritized over formal education. • Disqualifiers:
Candidates who focus primarily on highly visual, colorful, or decorative design may not be a good fit, as the work is more technical, data-heavy, and less about visual flair. However, this is not a strict deal breaker. 2-4+ years of experience in UX design for web and/or mobile applicationsProficiency with design tools such as FigmaStrong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design solutionsExperience conducting user research and usability testingExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projectsPreferred: Experience working in an agile environmentExperience designing for cloudFamiliarity with accessibility standardsTop 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience: 1.
