DescriptionThe Higgins team in Tauranga has an exciting opportunity for a Supervisor to join our Asphalt Plant team.Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll lead a team of 5 staff who manufacture up to 4,000 tonnes of asphalt per month. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the plant including customer and subcontractor coordination, health and safety auditing, quality assurance, stock management and overseeing planned plant maintenance.What You’ll Bring To The Role5 + years prior experience in asphalt plant operation, including troubleshooting and mechanical maintenanceProven ability to manage daily plant operations to meet productivity and outcome targets Experience leading teams, setting goals, and managing daily schedules and resourcingStrong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to respond to unexpected challenges and provide clear directionEffective verbal and written communication skills, along with solid computer literacyA strong commitment to health and safety practicesClass 1 Drivers License or overseas equivalent - WTR and Class 2 sought after but we can support you to gain these This is a permanent, full-time position working 40-60 hours per week based in Tauranga. Travel around the wider Bay of Plenty region may be required.
