Willing to train crew members who demonstrate excellent hand/eye coordination with microscopic parts, who otherwise qualify. Candidates that have experience with arts and crafts, small model building, jewelry making, or small intricate mechanical devices may have the skills applicable to work with these micro assembly productsResponsibilitiesMicro assembly product lines while working through microscopePrepare and assemble materials, build product subassemblies or final assemblies, plate product.Test and inspect products or subassemblies for functionality and quality.Set up and operate production fixtures and tools in accordance with good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to engineering prints.Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety and environmental compliance.Clean production equipment, products, and work areas.Measure and record data associated with products.Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.QualificationsHigh level of hand/eye coordination with ability to work extended periods on a microscopeAbility to perform mathematical calculationsFamiliarity with engineering drawings is preferredHigh school diploma or equivalentPhysical agilityPosition TypeThis is a full-time, first shift position, M-Th 7:00 to 5:30PM. This job operates in a lab/manufacturing setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Computers and machines are used, and the employee must be coordinated and have the ability to lift and or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
